Memory Sticks, Why are they so bad?
Memory sticks, can’t live with them (please delete as appropriate) and their everywhere/can’t live without them. I go through memory sticks like celebraties go through spouses.
Within this room I am joined by three of my previous memory sticks, all of which are broken. Two of them have broken in one of the corners where they would be attached to my key-ring and the other has almost been snapped into two pieces after being dropped whilst inside my netbook (fortunately I managed to save the data and the netbook wasn’t damaged).
At this point I remember a podcast by, king of the British Digirati, Stephen Fry. In this podcast Steven talks about the easy pot-holes writers/broadcasters can fall into. As Steven puts it “emotion is so much easier to access than reason” and that is exactly how I feel. I want to write a post to re-launch my blog and I have broken another memory stick!
I know I am putting off the inevitable, I am going to have to spend some serious $$$ (as I will probably buy it from ebay) and get myself a Lacie iamakey/itsakey. These fellows look really sturdy, so I think I shall buy one.
Does anyone have a favourite memory stick?
PS – I really think you should listen to the podcast, it’s awesome!
